The AreaLocated in the heart of the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe are not your average place to live. From the arts to the cultural splendor, to the breathtaking views and unprecedented natural surroundings, Northern Nevada/California is rich in both tradition and entertainment.
Northern Nevada/California enjoys four mild seasons where the sun shines an average of 266 days per year. The winters do bring an average of 22.2 inches of snow in the valley floor, much of it melting almost immediately, and if we don't think that is enough, we can go to Lake Tahoe and get all the snow we want. The summers are dry, making even the hottest temperatures bearable. The spring is always beautiful and the fall is ablaze in beautiful hues of yellow as the aspens prepare for the winter. The high desert climate always has a steady breeze, though sometimes it really should be called a wind!
Lake Tahoe is capitalizing on its own natural assets - one of the bluest and most memorable alpine lakes in the world, as well as amazing mountains that are home to some of the world's finest skiing.
