What is Northern Nevada/California F.I.R.E.?
Northern Nevada/California Firefighter Interagency Recruitment and Examination is a screening and testing program sponsored by a consortium of Northern Nevada/California Fire Departments designed to test and select firefighters and firefighter/paramedics. The program uses standard testing procedures for entry level firefighters and firefighter/paramedics. The consortium is administered by the collaborative efforts of the fire departments of Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District, Central Lyon County Fire Protection District, North Tahoe Fire Protection District, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, Storey County Fire Protection District, East Fork Fire Protection District and the Carson City Fire Department. Carson City Human Resources is managing the recruitment process. Applications must be made in accordance with instructions found here.

To recruit, test, select, and train the most qualified applicants for employment within the consortium of fire departments.
